Instructions
1. Prepare the batter

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

In a large bowl, beat together sugar, sour cream, butter, and eggs until creamy.

Mix in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.

Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Blend for 1 minute, then fold in chopped walnuts.
2. Bake the brownies

Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.

Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Allow brownies to cool slightly until warm (not hot) before adding frosting.
3. Prepare the frosting

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns a golden brown color. Watch carefully to avoid burning.

Remove from heat, whisk in powdered sugar, and gradually add milk until smooth and spreadable.

Stir in vanilla extract.
4. Frost and serve

Pour the frosting over the warm brownies and spread evenly with a spatula.
